Katie joined MSAP in July 2011 having previously worked in education management. What you're looking at is Katie's idea!
David joined MSAP in 2009 having previously volunteered. He works as an independent mental health advocate ("IMHA") and community advocate in Medway
Sally joined MSAP in 2009 and is our dedicated advocate covering the Swale locality
Jo joined the team having previously worked as a volunteer. Jo is an IMHA and also provides community advocacy in both Medway and Swale
Navjot joined the team in 2010 having previously studied to master's level in India. She works with our partners from black and minority ethnic communities and is fluent in various Asian languages. Navjot is also an IMHA.
Gill joined the team in 2009. She is both an IMHA and community advocate for Medway
Sally is our prison advocate providing a service for prisoners at HMP Elmley, HMP Standford Hill and, more recently, Rochester Young Offenders' Institute
Guy became office manager in 2005 having worked previously as a solicitor and teacher of English as a foregin language
Jane rejoined the team in 2010 having previously worked for MSAP 2004-5. She has a background in housing.
Sue's background is in accounts and budgeting and IT training. She was a local councillor in control of council departments. She has over ten years involvement with MSAP
Bob's experience is in retail, offcie, systems and administration management. As a volunteer he has worked for Fairbridge, Strood Community Project and Medway Cyrenians. He currently works for the High Halstwo Relief in Need Charity
John has been MSAP's treasurer for many years having previously worked in business management
Joan has had voluntary sector involvement for many years, is a carer and former financial advisor. She was steering group vice chair for MSAP when first founded in 1992. She is a volunteer in the office as well as a trustee
Community involvement and service user
Patricia has community involvement and is a service user
Sharon is a team leader iwth MHS Homes. MHS Homes main purpose is to provide quality homes for people at affordable rents. She has been a trustee for four years
Rachel volunteers with MSAP and the Winfield Trust (helping with education and training) and the Buddy Scheme. The Buddy Scheme seeks to empower both service users and future healthcare workers
Sandra was a book keeper and has worked with the Medway Youth Trust, Medway Youth Offending Team and is a volunteer with MSAP
Peter worked as a chartered surveyor and was a JP and is also a board member of the Association of Black Photographers
Charles has volunteered with MSAP for over ten years providing invaluable support to the advocates
Heidi is our newest recruit and is supporting Sally with her work in Swale
Guy was part of the foundation of MSAP and is proud to be its life president. He now works as a mental health consultant
