We also run a `Saathi' forum (Saathi means companion) which meets once a month.
People from minority ethnic communities in the Medway Towns who have mental health problems may feel socially excluded, isolated or lack confidence.
Our advocates can raise awareness of and assist with accessing local services that are available.
We have an advocate who specialises in advocacy for the minority ethnic community. This often means covering all the other issues previously mentioned and interpreting as well.
The advocate communicates as advocate in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and of course English.
This group, male and female, communicates in a range of languages such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and English. This was especially set up to help people from minority ethnic communities with mental health problems who often feel socially excluded. The monthly meetings are popular and invariably well attended.

MSAP invite a different guest speaker each month.
